Omnibus Allowances Certain companies that travel extensively throughout the year may find that the normal allowance are not sufficient for their travel requirements. Those companies that require more that R500 000 per person may apply for an omnibus allowance in the name of the company up to an amount of R2 000 000 on provision of the following information on a company letterhead. Information Required   Names of travellers and their designation within the company The number of proposed trips per person The countries to be visited The amount per person per year within the omnibus allowance A brief motivation illustrating the reasons why the company requires the additional funds. A schedule of all funds taken will be kept and submitted to our Exchange Control Department at the end of each year. Should the company require more than R2 000 000 a formal application is made to the Reserve Bank. How long to allow   This is a timeous and detailed process, and should be done during the latter half of the year prior to travel.
